One of Lonnie’s granddaughters visited the farm today and took some pictures. We had a little bit of ice hanging on the trees making for some pretty pictures! (Thanks Emily!)The farm is located at 4900 Floyd Hwy N, Floyd VA. (Sometimes the town may show up as Check or Cooper Hill). Same place. Not sure how it shows up so many ways 🤷🏻♀️The farm will be opening this weekend and will be open weekends as well as Thanksgiving and Black Friday from 9 to 5.Trees available at this location include: Fraser FirWhite pine andBlue SpruceSanta will be there everyday from 10-4. Wagon rides are available to take you throughout the farm so you can find that perfect tree without walking so much! This location accepts Cash, Check and credit/debit cards.Fresh cut wreaths available (multiple sizes) as well as tree stands and fresh roping in 25 and 75 ft lengths This location is ran by Lonnie’s son Tim and his family (pictured) as well as many friends and neighbors from around Floyd County. We are open weekends 9-5 as well as Thanksgiving and Black Friday 9-5.Our busiest days are Black Friday and the Saturday after Thanksgiving!!! If you plan to come on of those days, please know that it will be crazy busy and there will be a wait involved!! Santa plans to be in Floyd from 10-4 each day we're open there!Santa will not arrive in Fancy Gap until Thanksgiving Day and then will be there daily from 9-5. Should any special hours arise we will let you know so stay tuned!PAYMENTS ACCEPTED: Is different between the farms!!Fancy Gap location accepts CASH or CHECK only**** No need to panic there is an ATM close by at a convenience store down the road at the intersection that leads to 77 for those who forget or didn't know.Floyd Location has the ability to accept Credit Cards as well as CASH or CHECK!Stay tuned for more information on how the process works in the coming days. Slaughters' Tree FarmsPublished by Jennifer Slaughter Boothe · 1d · Took a trip up to Fancy Gap yesterday to check out the farm. It’s been a minute since I’ve been up that way. The rain was good to us this year and the guys did an incredible job trimming and caring for the farm this year! I know I’m partial, but my Dad and his crew raise some of the prettiest trees around! Lots of time and care put into these pines and firs. We are getting excited to see everyone back there this year. Stay tuned for important info and updates this week for the season!
